One of the largest single brand dealers for India’s biggest car manufacturer was keen to create an integrated HR management framework for its network of 17 dealerships spread across 4 states. The client’s need was to establish core HR policies & processes compliant with local laws, aligned to principal expectations and in line with management and employee needs.

The Inqubex team worked with the client over a period of 14 months to develop its HR strategy and aligned HR processes. We began by interviewing the leadership to gain an understanding of the business context and expectations. The Inqubex team was involved in the design of an integrating organization structure based on inputs from the ‘as-is’ structure. Next, we developed job descriptions and a grading structure in order to establish a rewards framework including fixed pay benchmarked to location market and variable pay across business functions (Sales, Service, Accessories, Used car sales, Support functions), to drive desired performance and behaviors. The assignment also included design and implementation of a KRA based performance management system, recruitment and training process and the design of human resource policies.

The client has implemented all aspects of the project. Furthermore, the last 3 cycles of compensation revisions received positive employee feedback. In addition, Inqubex also facilitated the turnaround of a low performing unit by change managing the transition of a new location leadership team.
