A fast growing social enterprise, focused on driving livelihoods was keen to build employee engagement through long term incentives. Inqubex was called in to design an employee stock option plan. We initiated the assignment through seeking individual leadership expectations to better understand the motivation and objectives behind their interest in implementing ESOPs. The leadership was then taken through a detailed ESOP design workshop where we showcased a straw model of the design and sought their aligned inputs on each component. We carried out simulations using existing staff compensation and headcount data on the proposed scheme deign to build scenarios of payouts. Based on the analysis, refinements were made to the design element and the scheme was finalized.
The organization has accepted the recommendations and is in the process of implementing the program
